The Arc is the largest advocacy organization in the
United States for citizens with cognitive, intellectual, and
developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc of Wayne
County is the county chapter of the National Arc.
The Arc’s mission is to work to include
all children and adults with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental
disabilities in every community. In conjunction with its state and national
organizations, The Arc of Wayne County works every day to carry
out its mission
to promote active citizenship and inclusion of all children and adults with
cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities into our local
communities.
The Arc meets the first Wednesday of each month
September through June at 6:00 p.m. at the Lakeside School, 129 Lakeside
Drive, Honesdale. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
